It’s stamped with S & J flanking a Crown on the blade. This is a beast of a cleaver, it has a 4.5mm tapering blade, high quality Carbon Steel with a Hickory handle, full tang construction. Size – the blade is 250mm long x 105mm wide at the widest point & the cleaver is 410mm long overall. Weight – 1.1kg. The ruler & Redhead box of matches in the photos are for a size comparison only, not for sale. This Cleaver is in authentic vintage condition, wear and tear consistent with age and use, some scattered pitting to the blade, the head of one rivet is missing but the handle scales are still tightly on, an age check on the back of one scale, it’s a strong well made cleaver just needs a sharpen, high quality carbon steel.
