NEW OLD STOCK Sudberry House Large Shaker Box for Needlework display manufactured for them by the historic Frye’s Measure Mill in Wilton, NH. This Shaker Box was made by Frye’s at their water powered mill (see photo #6, this card was inserted in all Shaker Boxes that Frye’s made). Sudbury House retailed them at their Factory Store in Old Lyme, CT. Today the Sudberry factory is just a sad memory and Frye’s Measure Mill stopped making Shaker Baskets back in 2012 (its now just a museum and gift shop). This piece appears be made of Cherry with a satin finish applied to it. The piece is 7 1/2″ in diameter and 5 1/2″ tall overall (1″ of foam, and the lid and base 4 1/2″). The foam is mounted on a removable cardboard insert. Comes in its original factory shrink wrap, although that has been torn. This is a spectacular Shaker Box with its wonderful history and impeccable workmanship. This one is NEW!!!
