This is a real deal original GM Sun chrome tachometer mounting cup with Impala specific chrome rear facing bracket. This cup is known as the “Pinch Cup” since the housing is held to the gauge by tightening a machine screw and nut on the bottom of the cup which “pinches” the cup onto the gauge. The Sun chrome pinch cup was used by GM on 61-62 Impalas and possibly some Chevy and GMC pickups. This is also the correct cup for all Sun “RC” tachometer models and others. This is a very hard to find original cup. This cup is in excellent original condition as shown. The chrome shines well with excellent reflection and no pitting. There are no dings or dents. The original GM Impala only reverse facing chrome column mount is intact and in great shape. It even still has the Impala only phillips head attaching screw holding the bracket in place.
