We bought this collection from Smoky Lawrence just before he died. It was his lifetime collection of LP’s by a professional recording engineer. Some may be signed by the artists. There are around 12,000 LP’s of unknown condition. It is likely the quality is on the high count side since all of these were selected and stored by a recording engineer. It would take years to catalog and grade this collection. Genres include Big Band, Male and Female vocalists, Jazz, Country, Rock and Roll, Classical, Comedy, Radio shows, Hawaiian, Piano, Organ, Opera, and more. Too many to play, list or grade. There is likely a few more for someone who has the time to catalog this collection. Watch this listing for more data. We bought it to save the collection and help Smokey financially during the last few months of his life. Smokey was a friend of Clint Eastwood and his fingers appeared in the Honkeytonk Man movie where you can see them twiddling the dials on the recording instruments. He was also a friend of Big Tiny Little who also left us a thousands of new recordings on cassettes, records, and CD’s. These two, who worked together for many years, were both associates of the Gi Collaboration here in Carson City and have now passed away.
