1990s DIAMONDBACK RECOIL OLD SCHOOL 24 MOUNTAIN BIKE VINTAGE BMX STUMPJUMPER 80s. Here is a cool vintage The previous owner thought this one was bought new in the 1990s? The serial number is 12L28698 mens/boys Diamond Back RECOIL DS “Trail Control” old school Mountain Bike with 24 wheels. It is in the original and very appealing blue colored factory paint with “splatter” paint which was popular decades ago! To me, this bike screams 1980s-1990s!!! If you like cool original mountain bikes, this may be a great bike for you. Mountain bikes are great as you can ride them on road, off the road, or on the trails. The bike features; v. Intage original paint and decals frame with cool unusual factory “mirrored” decals, love the vintage design! “Mountain Series” tubing, upgraded front shocks suspension, 3-piece cranks, factory handlebars, trigger gear shifters, Shimano SIS rear derailleur, Avenir seat/saddle, seat post is NOT frozen in place. Seat has a couple small tears center pull brakes, and more! I was told this bike was not ridden a lot since new. (see pics and be your own judge) Has a free bonus tail light in place. I described this one the best that I could. Check out all pics and let me know if you have questions. My 2 cents on this…. As better quality, non “box store” bike of the time, I think if you take good care of this, it should only go up in value! Happened with the old stuff and this was one of the “good” ones of the time! Just a thought by me of course! The Specialized Stumpjumper and Rockhopper bikes started it all! I dont know when Diamond Back when from being in California to made overseas but this one was made in asia/china. If you have any info to share or know when it was made it would be greatly appreciated. EITHER WAY, this is a cool bike and I have never seen another quite like it! The tires are 24×1.90. The tires are slightly newer replacement tires and do hold air! (see pics) The bike has chrome wheels front and rear. (would look nicer with detailing) The bike is an original 18-SPEED with hand controlled brakes. (It shifts and brakes but may need minor cable adjustment) DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 27. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 25 1/2. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 14 1/2. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 18. The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. It has been in long term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed once again! It is not 100% flawless but is respectable for its age! (see pics and be your own judge) The paint is original! (has some chips etc but is not bad for its age) I LOVE the fact that this bike has never been repainted! I think it is a cool survivor type bike! (see pics and be your own judge) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. Most every used bike out there seems to. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. A cool mountain bike at a great price. Why not ride a bike?
