This rare piece circa 1920’s is made of paper mache or buckram type material. It was handmade and hand painted. It is stamped “Made In Germany”. This mask in good shape for it’s age. There is some damage in the back that was repaired long ago with tape and cardboard, as pictured. It does show minor surface cracking and paint is still bright. It was made to be worn over the head (full head mask) but makes a beautiful display piece. There are no visible signatures of a particular artist. Unique piece to add to your collection!
