OLD 1950’s ERA UNBRANDED MEXICO SILVER HIGHLY ENGRAVED LONGHORN STEER COWBOY WESTERN MONOGRAM PLATE BELT BUCKLE. This old cowboy buckle is simply hallmarked “SILVER MEXICO”. We tested the metal and although it is not sterling silver, it sure looks every bit as good as many sterling buckles when it is on a belt. It features high definition hand engraving and the two gem stones in the steer’s eyes look to be genuine, either deep red garnets or similar. They sparkle when this buckle is turned side to side, which was impossible to show in our photos. There is a blank top monogram area for personalized engraving. We estimate the metal to be similar to other buckles stamped as nickel or German silver. The new owner is gonna love this classic old buckle.
