Very old miniature painting of Maria Martinez of San Ildefonso Pueblo handpainted by David R. Gonzales. She is with two of her pots, holding the one with the black glaze, one that she is so famous for, and another polychrome. It appears to be painted on some kind of heavy paper cardboard. Measures 3.5″ x 4.5″. The lower right of the back is stamped David R Gonzalez. I could determine the word which looks like Calle (giving the address), but cannot read the rest. This is in very good condition, I would say excellent excluding that little water stain on the back.
