It is hallmarked 1/10 12K OVERLAY, STERLING. Overlay is not plating—it is a very heavy layer of gold that is bonded to the sterling base. There is no manufacturers stamp, but it appears to be similar to other premium old sterling buckles such as Boyd or Keyston. It is a high quality buckle that shows less than average wear for its age, and is ready to shine & be worn for many more decades. Measures 3″ x 2″, fits belts up to 1 1/2 wide, and weighs 2 ounces.
