African Hand Woven Ivory Coast Baule cloth Old textile home decoration Art. Authentic old (1970s) hand woven cloth from IVORY COAST / Côte d’Ivoire (Bondoukou town) West Africa. This is a ” Woman size ” cloth and measures 69″ (175 cm) x 50″ (127 cm). The cloth is in good condition with few small holes, 1 repair , some minor color bleeding, and some stains due to usage and age. Three of the lines of the cloth were woven using “IKAT” pattern. In some parts the cloth is also decorated with different colors of over stitching. Ivory Coast cloth that is hand woven on a horizontal treadle loom. The strips are sewn together into larger pieces of cloths. In present days is still used as a cloth in Ivory Coast but is also used by collectors of fine woven cloths and artifacts as Wall hanging , sofa or bed covering!
